1 lb. noodles
10 T. salted butter
Salt and pepper as needed
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Dash of parsley
1 gallon of water and/or broth
Bring salted water or broth to a boil and cook your noodles until done.
Reserve 1/8 cup of the pasta water, then drain. (Don't forget to scale this amount along with the recipe).
Melt the butter in your pan, stir in the water, return the noodles and gently stir.
Turn off the heat.
Stir in the parmesan and a sprinkle of parsley.
Serve as a side or add things in to make it the main dish.
Suggested add ins for finished pasta:
Chopped, cooked chicken.
Chopped, sautéed spinach.
Roasted Garlic, smashed.
Lightly salted, diced, drained tomatoes.
Cooked broccoli.
Sautéed peppers or onions.
Sautéed mushrooms.
